Output Trigger

This is an analyzer sequence parameter which specifies how the test set’s analyzer generates a trigger at the start of an acquisition.

Double-clicking in the Output Trigger field opens a dropdown list of the the choices:

These are mutually exclusive choices; if the trigger is provided to the source, it is not provided to the output port, and vice versa.

Note

If there is a need to trigger the source and also provide an external trigger, this can be accomplished by inserting a special acquisition (with a duration of zero, and no analysis intervals) ahead of the actual acquisition, and giving it a different Output Trigger setting. The zero-duration acquisition would make no measurements, and would exist only for the sake of providing an alternative trigger.
